So weekend is just around the corner! YEY!
I have three wishes for your free time (don’t forget to make room for free time!):
1. Reflect: Acknowledge your successes and where you can still grow daily. ‘Reset’ so you can start the next week with energy to keep improving and being amazing!
2. Take Responsibility: You are not a victim. Take responsibility for what’s going on in your life and peace will follow. The more you’re in control and centered, the more you can enjoy your friends, family and your time alone.
3. Smile: Sometimes things feel very serious but everything moves on. If you’re not taking every opportunity to enjoy yourself, you’re wasting valuable time! Don’t let life pass you by, make every moment worthwhile! Be happy!
“Life asks us not to wait for later, this life’s purpose is to experience it all, to go for the adventure, trying to achieve all our goals with passion. Our fears are our limits and they will make our life dull. We have to break those limits in order to enjoy everything the world has to offer to its fullest.”
Last week I had the opportunity to listen to Enhamed and learn so many lessons in just one short speech!... I’m still trying to digest Enhamed’s words but there’s one thing I’m certain of: I have to change my posture and attitude every day from now on – I can make it If I put my mind to it!
His honest, humble and powerful story full of ups and downs, and so many remarkable glories focused on 6 main topics:
1. Discipline and Commitment
What defines great men and women who amaze the world and everyone with the way they master their matters is DISCIPLINE AND COMMITMENT. It is not talent, it isn’t a calling, it isn’t luck or wealth …Does this sound like hard work?? Of course! But it changes us and it will define our success (and our happiness – I’m sure about this after seeing and listening to Enhamed).
2. The life doesn’t get any easier, you just get stronger.
He made me accountable to achieve many great things! His words enable us to always do our best to sum victories! It’s just a matter of deciding what our next goal is! That’s what matters. We have everything we need.
3. Focus on the process Vs the results
The key is not to focus on the outcome and on what people think of you. Be absorbed in the present moment, fully engaged in the process. Your first incentive should be to put to work your gifts and talents. The process takes time and trial and error. There will be failures and many ups and downs during the process. But, if you master the process, you will easily be able to create the results again and again.Everything is possible if you find the way, if you find the process.
4. Find the best people to work with you
Fear does not come from inside you but from outside, from those around you. Run away from those people who stimulate fear around them. Try to find an environment that will facilitate our growth, Surround yourself by people who encourage you. Because we can do a lot on our own, but the journey is much more beautiful and nice when we do it together with the right companion. The only way to live longer is by sharing your life with others.
WHEN YOU SHARE, YOU GROW.
5. Manage your emotions
Our mind is everything: not only our brain but also our body. Everything we are is in our mind. Our mind is constantly influenced by our brain’s messages, our emotions, our thoughts but also our moves, our posture and our muscles. Our mind is the result not only of the way we take care of our body (bread, eat healthy and move) but also of how we nurture our brain (information given by our feelings, thoughts, memories, imagination).
Take advantage of that! Set up the right process to feel well, to conquer a winner’s posture, to think positively and see yourself gain traction to achieve better results and sum up victories.
6. Our mindset determines our results
We have the potential to learn and shape the world, which implies also the potential to build the inner world we wish for. We must build our inner world so we can live in it and so we will get our mind to help us and make us believe. Find out how your mind works. Work on your mindset so that it develops a commitment to growth, flexibility and adaptability. This will reveal your full hidden potential. This is the key to continual learning and success.
CONGRATULATIONS ENHAMED AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR SHARING!
What will you write down as your goal after reading Enhamed’s lessons?? HIs experience is demanding that you set the standards high! Go for it!
If there’s one thing that I’m really terrible at is at starting conversations… Although this not seem such a big thing it is a disadvantage in any event, especially because it undermines my confidence. And tonight I have this big event with people I am not that comfortable with: peers, superiors, competitors…
I read about this problem and I’m willing to try this sentences, in the case that I, as usual, have absolutely nothing to say this evening in this industry gala:
1. “That is such a great ring/ necklace/ watch…”
It seems that starting with a comment on something personal is positive, personal and not too intrusive. I’m hoping that this can help me to find out something about the person sitting or standing next to me
2. “What’s your reaction to the news that came out yesterday?...”
This one is quite obvious because some very relevant news came out yesterday about one of the players in the industry. I’m hoping I can ask this one first because it will be on top of everyone’s heads
3. “This is to toast to our team winning the award!”
I’m hoping this one can cheer up our table. To Be positive, to smile and to celebrate each other's victories works in every situation! This One is a quick win! The good vibes this happy toast suggest will take care of our formal conversations for a while ;)
I’m willing to make it easier for other people to get some clues on what to talk about when beginning a conversation so I will be focused on not giving the shortest answers and to give some suggestions on what to say next. I may just tell them about my winter holidays in France or my 3 kids being sick at the same time… maybe that will work!
Have you found yourself in this situation, maybe also at a professional gathering? What seems to work and gets you feeling more comfortable? Please share!
Wish me luck!
Ever wondered about how you will look and feel when you’re 70 years old? I bet I has crossed your mind sometimes whether related to people living longer these days or your parents being close to the 70’s celebration!
I’m a very lucky person: my mother just turned 69 and she looks great, feels great and has a very healthy brain! She’s very active and still manages to devote herself to my father, 6 children and 15 grandchildren! It’s incredible!
How can we keep our energy, joy and health as we age?
If I had to reveal my mother’s secret:
1. Being Grateful
2. Taking Daily Action to deal with life’s challenges
3. Finding activities that you Enjoy (Exercise included!)
4. Connect regularly with friends and family
5. Make meals a social event
6. Have Faith and develop your spiritual gifts
7. WALK, PLAY, LAUGH, LEARN, LISTEN! And Eat Chocolate! :-)
BAD NEWS: People who stay in their own comfort zone fail to widen their horizons. They often abandon their plans too soon and settle for mediocrity. Even though they may actually be disciplined people who work hard for their living and are respected members in their inner and social circles. What a waste of the right advantages!
Our inner self reflects in our surroundings. If you’re truly trying to achieve some visible progress with a noticeable impact you have to shift existing behaviors and mindset in order to attract opportunities. Promising circumstances come to the people who attract them, to the people who develop and reflect their unique magnificent value. They often meet new people, build new relationships and form new business partnerships. It is vital to work on personal development and on character development.
How to work on personal development? Try this:
1. Organize your time!
Make sure to spend time with your family, on things you enjoy doing, dedicate to work and to your personal development! This is key to being on balance and to have the strength to make the extra push!
2. Spend time with positive people – people with winning habits, strategies and attractive personalities. They will teach you and encourage you! Make good use of this!
3. Perform daily routines to shape your character – systematic practice will transform you in a powerful person. Getting your habits right can mean the difference between success and failure. I recommend reading ‘The Power of Habit’ by Charles Duhigg. I’ve just finished reading it! J
1. Listen to compliments
Learn to accept praise, say thank you! Own the appreciation and remember it often.
2. Read a lot
Knowledge is a straightforward push on confidence! Commit to continual learning.
3. Try new things
I never get tired of recommending this one: It builds your courage! It is a lot of fun too!
4. Appreciate others
Helping others feel great has an instant effect on yourself and in your confidence! You’ll feel good about yourself and others will feel good around you!
5. Wear a smile
A smile is so powerful that can even transform our negativity into optimism.
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND! VALUE EVERY MINUTE OF FUN OR RELAXATION WITH FAMILY OR FRIENDS!
