![]() Approaching the end of Summer...time to tell about what I read in the past 3 months. Starting with John Maxwell's book: 5 Levels of Leadership Maxwell takes you through the 5 steps to becoming the most respected leader. When you reach this level people will follow you because of who you are and what you represent and not because they have to. I really liked his approach as it is very human, focused on others, humble and inspiring. From where I stand in my career and my personal life, I would highlight the following if Maxwell teachings: > As a new leader, you must use the authority you are given wisely, to advance the team and help the people you lead; > A leadership position is an invitation to grow as a leader. One of the main requirements is personal growth. IF YOU WANT TO LEAD, YOU NEED TO GROW. > Your values are the soul of of your leadership, and they drive your behavior. > An invitation to lead is an invitation to make a difference. What have you read last summer? Tell me what you've learned. Inspire others with your recommendations.
