While trying to figure out a way to help a friend cheer up after some really bad news I remembered one activity my family made during lent: The Gratitude Jar. Each day each one of us would write a small paper with the best thing that happened during the day. It was also joyful to watch the jar fill up as each day passes reminding ourselves that we are, in fact, blessed!
Try it! Even after you had the worst day of all, I think you can always fund something that made you smile, laugh, or have a positive thought. Hold on to that! It will help!
