“Be patient with yourself. Self-growth is tender; it’s holy ground. There’s no greater investment.”
Stephen Covey Everyone has a mental list of “I should have’s”. I bet you have 3 ringing in your year right at this time I should have__________________ … I should have__________________ … I should have__________________ … (fill in the blanks) But ANY DAY WE CHOOSE we can get to work on the basics that will help start the process of self-discipline! The joy that comes from a chosen small achievement will start the miracle process! Every day is a fresh start! Use it! The quick inspiration that will come from the practice of a new and simple habit will start a virtuous process of soaring self-esteem. It does not matter if that ‘new thing’ seems like a small step or an invisible progress. That small change will turn you into a stronger and more capable person that will develop the discipline required to see and grab great opportunities. The smallest of disciplines, practiced every day, start an incredible process that can dramatically change our lives. Intelligent, planned, passionate and consistent activity creates new energy and keeps us moving toward the exciting future that our thoughts and desires have already designed for us. Get to work on those small habits (choose the ladder instead of the elevator? Wake up 15 minutes earlier?) and watch how that new vision of yourself and your goals will unfold. Consistent effort lies within the reach of anyone and is the most crucial factor in success. Amateurs wait for inspiration. The real pros get up and go to work. Harvey Mackay
