My 16 year old Goddaughter is a bodyboard champion! Have I mentioned this here? Her name is Teresa Padrela.
I've been busy the last few days thinking about how to get sponsors and financial support for her! Until now she could afford costs and travel expenses reasonably well but it's becoming too much of a financial burden.
I started this 'project' thinking that it would not be that difficult. But after reading, thinking, brainstorming... it will not be that easy and we need to be careful.
Young, beautiful woman, who achieved so much with hard training.
Wouldn't it be enough just to show her amazing results at age 16 to be able to choose one brand with both attitude and pride in women's achievements in sports?
Isn't it a spectacular way to get more people into this healthy lifestyle to support her? After all, how many parents do we see worried about their kids poor nutrition, mobile phones addiction, obesity, sedentarism? Instead this would be a way to get the spotlight on nature, sports and happiness!
Yes, Happiness! I can not explain how much happiness this water sport has given her. It has filled her life!
Teenagers usually carry those lonely eyes and that sense of not really fitting nor feeling at ease... Teresa also had that typical posture.
She started training, giving her best, getting bigger and bigger challenges ahead and that sense of purpose, of professional development started making her confidence grow and her attitude change.
She was usually quiet but not anymore. She know what she wants and she will do her best to get it!
So for 2018 she plans to get her place in the podium in both the
European Tour of Bodyboarding and
The World Bodyboard Tour.
Go for it, Teresa!
Great work from her coach also on helping to build her inner strength, her motivation, her fearless attitude and pride! Congratulations and thank you for everything!
