I’m back to work after 4 months spent at home with my new baby girl.
One thing that always strikes me in the ‘life at the office’ series is how people become powerful just by speaking loud, having a show-off attitude, acting like they are the bosses even if they’re not even close to that position. They truly convince others that they are best at what they do, and that gives them the tailwind they need to be promoted and actually gaining access to the ‘powerful boss’ chair.
>> So what can we learn from this?
Work to be very good at your job but don’t forget to work your body language as well. Because hard work and dedication can sometimes be invisible but your body language is not!
Take a look at the pictures above. I bet you can discover some of the positions you find yourself in during a regular day. Need to get into that 'powerful chair'? Need to make your issues matter in a team discussion? Work on the 'high power posture' and make everyone care and consider your message and knowledge.
