BE INSPIRED - COMMIT TO YOUR PURPOSE

  • Every once in a while - monthly will work out perfectly - take time to refocus.
  • Take a long and good look at where you are and where you want to go, who do you want to be.
  • Focus on the best self you can imagine.
  • Take a picture on your mind of YOUR BEST YOU and that will inspire you going forward.
  • Remember this purpose and commit to it. You can be the person on your vision.
  • Know your strengths and let them drive you all the way.
  • You do have imperfections but that is just part of being human. Every mistake is an opportunity to learn and improve.
  • Get over it and continue your journey until you reach your goals.

EXPLORE YOUR POWER - Focus On Self Improvement

Try Doing the Opposite of What You Normally Do

Like a muscle, your will power can be reinforced over time with practice, even if you’re just trying to develop self control with no specific target but showing yourself that you can change, you can improve.

Anytime you modify your routine, you’re developing self-discipline. For example, try to brush your teeth with your non-dominant hand.

Once you’ve succeeded in making a tiny change, tell  yourself :  "Of course I can do this!"

You can then advance toward accomplishing something that actually means something in your own self improvement path.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY

Sleep helps you keep your mind and body healthy. This is the most important support for you to be gather all your strength for your next victory! For your reference: most adults need 7/8 hours of good quality sleep each night. Make this a rule!

2. EAT WELL
It is not as complex as it seems! Start by eating a variety of foods and control the portions! Also remember to limit foods with added sugar! You can do it!

3. EXERCISE

OPTIMISM

" Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence. "
- Helen Keller

Keep in Mind:
Your confidence comes from within - you are responsible for letting it grow and for being happy!

Work that:

1. Look in the mirror and smile.
Expressions on your face can actually encourage you to register certain emotions. So by looking in the mirror and smiling every day, you will feel happier with yourself and more confident in the long run.

2. Stand straight
When your posture is erect, the message your brain gets is: " I feel good about myself ". People who sit up straight in their chairs instead of slouching are more confident about statements they write.

Keeping your shoulders back and chest open also makes you look taller, slimmer, and radiantly self-assured.

INCREASE YOUR CONFIDENCE

1. The Better You Prepare the more Confident You Are
When you’ve really done your homework beforehand you know your facts backward. You’ve anticipated any tricky questions you may get. You realize you understand your subject better than anyone else in the room. That knowledge and surety will give you extraordinary poise and confidence.

2. Practice: See and Feel yourself as being Masterful
Each morning before you begin your work day, find a quiet place and get relaxed. Close your eyes for two minutes and mentally see a movie of yourself performing confidently – at your desk, in key meetings, talking with other executives.
Do this every morning for just a week and you’ll see a big rise in your confidence.

3. Commit to Continual Learning
When you know you are better trained than everyone around you, you can’t help but exude a quiet confidence. People will sense it. You’ll have a manner about you that is highly attractive – people tend to like experts and those that exhibit excellence in any way. Keep developing your knowledge and skills and you’ll be far more centered and confident than anyone in your industry.

Your best friend: confidence

 Imagem
Whether you have to give a speech, go to a job interview, want to find a mate, or simply make it through the day, confidence is your best friend. If you're not naturally confident - you can easily change your behavior and your mindset in order to learn to be at ease and confident, taking little steps:

1. Don't worry about what other people think of you
Usually - they are not even thinking about you! Relax!

2. Nurture yourself - be positive!
Every time you think something like "I will probably fail..." replace it with something positive such as "I'm going to dedicate entirely to this and i'm going to do it! I can do it!"

3. Smile and laugh more
Even a shy smile will be enough to make other people want to be around you. It's the simplest and easiest trick! And if it doesn't come naturally - try practicing! And it will come out naturally very soon - trust me.

DO NOT FORGET: 3 quick tips

1. Have confidence in your ability to learn
2. Put your best effort and hard work into it - pratice doing the things you are unsure about
3. Focus on yourself: not a theoretical and judgmental audience

Build up your confidence:  learn more getting feedback

I have never found it easy to take criticism. Even knowing that it would help my personal development, there was always something that activated some psychological negative response. In the end, I felt like I was being misjudged, or crucially threatened.

I encourage you to take on criticism believing that your growth is dependent on that. Even knowing that sometimes your peers or bosses may not be good at providing feedback urge them to do it so that you have more clues into how to improve your skills and your behaviour.

Become stubborn about learning from whatever feedback you get and that will push above your potential.

The most you learn the more confident you become.

GAIN Confidence: improve your public speaking skills!

Imagem
The most effective way we have to control how we are known by others is through how we communicate.

So start working on your skills!

Practice this three tips and you will notice prodigious improvements:

1. Breathe.
Breath is the energy that keeps you moving (and talking). If you don’t remember that before, during and after your presentation you will end up fast forwarding until the very last slide.
Try to relax by breathing: if it is importante enough to say, breathe before you say it.
Practice slowly inhaling to a count of five and say the following sentence at the top of your inhalation,
“I am an amazing person, and I do extraordinary things.”

Flatter yourself - you are not only rooting a new communication tool, you are also learning to claim who you are – and learning to love the sound of it!
Practice this daily until you not only believe it but you can show it to others by just passing by.

2. Build the introduction carefully.
After developing all your content and being comfortable with the way it flows from beginning to the end you should decide on the introduction.
This will set the stage for everything else to fall into place nicely so do not try and skip this step.
The first 3 minutes is the only time you have to get your public engaged in your presentation.
Start with a good story – make an entrance with something familiar that can speak directly to your audience. Get them envolved.
This will get you comfortable and create a good atmosphere for you to deliver the message in a clear and satisfying way.

3. No filler sounds (hum... ah.... I mean... ok...).
In place of these fillers, consciously take your time and breathe.
Space has value – don’t be afraid to use it. It will enable your presentation to shine.
That will tell people that you are confident and that will persuade them to wait for your next sentence with curiosity and vested interest.

As you practice delivering speeches and presentations the new techniques will empower you to reflect authenticity, strength and cordiality  not just in what you do but mostly through who you are.

It is never just the message, but the messenger that matters. And you can be the messenger who delivers in the most passionate way.
People will not only want to know more about the subject you talked about but also about you!

And if you end up being nervous even after rehearsing more than 10 times… don’t worry: if you give virtuous, actionable, clear and useful information, people will forget how tense you looked and keep remembering the good news you offered!

Positive Thinking

Work on your optimism – it can be a very powerful way to improve your confidence.

Highlight your strengths and successes and learn from your weaknesses and mistakes. Remind yourself throughout the day that negative thoughts can be very damaging to your confidence and to your ability to achieve goals.

The Definition of Optimism
Optimism derives from the Latin word "optimus", meaning "best", which defines how a positive person is always looking for the best in any situation and expecting good things to happen. Optimism is the tendency to believe, expect or hope that things will turn out well. Even if something bad happens,

You might not be naturally optimistic. If you are not, think of this advice – ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE – as a mind trick or an exercise that can lead you to become more confident. Watch how it works on you and others around you. It is very powerful, you will soon notice.

Work on your attitude:
  • Know your strengths and weaknesses. Write a list of things that you see as qualities and things that you know you need to develop. If you want to take this to the next level: discuss your list with friends and family, they will probably be able to add to the list. Celebrate and improve your strengths and find ways to make some progress and manage your weaknesses.
  • Accept compliments and compliment yourself. When you receive a compliment from somebody else, thank them and try to get more details. Ask them what did they like particularly? Recognise your own achievements and reward yourself or tell friends and family about them.
  • Stay cheerful and have a positive view on life. Only complain or criticise when necessary and when you do, do so in a constructive way. Create a good atmosphere around you: offer others compliments and congratulate them on their successes. This will result in a more optimistic view ‘inside and outside’ yourself.

DO THE RIGHT THING. BOOST YOUR CONFIDENCE

Imagem
What would be the most important advice to gain confidence?

DO THE RIGHT THING.

This is what feeds your inner self the most, your mind and ultimately your body. You will feel good about what you do with your own time and that will show off.

Confidence comes from knowing that you are acting morally, rightly, ethically, and in accord with your most deeply held values. This is your treasure: your values. Protect your vision of living an honorable life and you will not only feel good but you will look good and strong.

When you do something to get ahead of others, or for your own selfish satisfaction and you turn down the opportunity of doing the right thing, then you feel the lack of self control. At some deep inner level inside you, you will know this. This will make you feel small, ashamed. This will be inside you, shadowing your pride and turning off your confidence button.

But if you make the hard choices, walk your own path, if you conquer to choose the right thing you will feel a sense of control and you will remember that you like who you are when you let your whole potential shine. You gain self respect and pride. You feel peace of mind, you are comfortable with the way you are living. You know you are a good person, and you know that you have what it takes to make a difference.

YOU WILL BE CONFIDENT.
